How cargo to Nairobi works
Our standard service is airport to airport: your shipment arrives at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), where the receiver collects it from the cargo terminal with a copy of the airway bill, the packing list and official ID (a national ID or passport). Destination customs and handling charges are paid by the receiver and are not part of the UK quotation. Commercial shipments also need the commercial invoice, airway bill, tax number and any documents required by Kenya.
Air transit is typically 1–3 days from departure, depending on airline availability and routing. Departures can be arranged any day of the week, subject to space; book at least one day before departure. You receive an airway bill tracking number to follow the shipment on the airline's website, and basic insurance cover, as per IATA, is included.
What people send to Nairobi
Household items, food, toiletries, make-up and electronics are the most common contents, along with personal and commercial medicines, all declared on the packing list. A normal personal baggage piece is 25–30 kg; commercial cargo has no weight or size limit, but tell us the figures before booking. Phones and laptops are accepted with an airline lithium-battery handling charge. Perfumes, sprays, flammable liquids, loose batteries, alcohol, currency and the other items on our prohibited list are not accepted. Packing can be done by our team at an extra charge.
Sending from anywhere in the UK

See our collection pages for London, Slough, Bradford, Leeds, Glasgow and Leicester, or all UK airports we ship from. Sender documents: passport copy, full packing list and UK ID or proof of address.
