Aircraft-on-ground logistics enquiries

When an aircraft is waiting for a part or component, a clear shipment brief helps the cargo team assess the available options. Contact Goldcross Cargo with the origin, destination and required timing.

Give the team the information needed to assess urgency

Include the part description and reference, the aircraft or maintenance contact where relevant, and the location where the goods are ready. Tell us the receiving airport or maintenance facility and provide the receiving contact's availability.

Separate the requested deadline from any transport estimate. Access to the part, packing, documentation and receiving arrangements all need to be confirmed. We do not advertise a universal response time or guaranteed departure for AOG enquiries.

Prepare the component details

  • Part description, reference, condition and quantity.
  • Packed dimensions, gross weight and any lifting restrictions.
  • Collection and receiving contacts, locations and access instructions.
  • Ready time, required delivery time and declared restricted materials.

Make handover arrangements explicit

Ask who is responsible for collection and delivery handovers, when the receiver is available and how changes will be communicated. Do not send a component to an airport or handling facility until the team has confirmed instructions.
